Getting leads for your business

This week, I came to a realisation.

What realistaion?

I need to learn how to run ads properly on my own.

I actually regret not starting earlier.

But now, that is one of my 2023 goals- Running ads.

You see,

One painful truth about making money (online or offline) and entrepreurship is this:

No matter how good you are or how good your product or service is, you need people or traffic to actually make money.

Traffic is one of the lifelines of any business at all.

It is humans that buy what you selling or will need whatever service you provide.

How you get that traffic is by marketing and showing up everytime and talking about your product or servicein front of many people as possible.

You can get traffic/leads in a number of ways.

When I started out, I depended solely on organic traffic (traffic without money)

how?

From within whatsapp. I would ask people to share my flyer for me on their statuses. I got leads from there but how long was I be able to do that?

Not long.

Then I also got leads organically from twitter (this is not an exactly straightforward process)

and the truth is organic is good but it takes time and a lot of effort.

On the other hand,

Paid traffic is quick and less stressful. If you do it right, you will get good results.

My pain? I have been sleeping on this.

This year, I am all about investing into paid traffic through facebook

and fb can be crazy most of the time, so I do not want to reply on them alone.

Even though it is good to master one platform before you transcend to another, I thinnk I also want to explore tik tok ads.

I hear it is now the fb of yesteryears and you can generate as many as 500 leads with just a budget of 10k

I will tell you how that goes so look forward to it

so for now, tik tok and fb.

There are other ways to get traffic too- google ads, YouTube ads, twitter ads etc.

What's the point of this email

Organic or paid traffic, whichever you decide to do, just make sure you are showing up in people's faces everyday

and you might disagree, but learning to run ads yourself is one skill I think you should consider.

I am still trying to figure out fb ads on my own. Like I said I wish I started earlier.
